Wish You Were Here

Or maybe it should be "Wish I was still there". Yesterday I returned to work after having almost 2 weeks off for vacation, and the transition went surprisingly smoothly. The only bad part was having to defrost my car at 11:30 pm when it was only 10 degrees out (ugh). It was so nice to get away for a week. The average temperature was close to 85-90 degrees and weather beautiful for the entire week. I have more thoughts on the trip, but I'll likely post those later as I'm still trying to get caught up on the mountain of laundry (although the truth is, I don't know why I'm working so hard on the laundry-we can't wear any of the clothes for another 4-5 months).

The photo above was taken at Labadee, Haiti. I tried to find photos that both Chuck and I are in, but strangely I only have a few from my camera, and those aren't even great photos.

Vacation!

Hmmmm....guess I really haven't posted much in a while. Guess my life and work have been pretty routine for the past month-I've been working evenings and weekends a lot. I never did post about jury duty (don't worry Maria, I still plan to eventually), and I have some thoughts on work I'd like to post about, but that's a subject for another day.

Today officially marks the first day of vacation. I haven't been on a real trip (ie flying to another state or foreign travel) for almost 2 years. Saturday we leave for Florida, and Sunday we hop on the cruise ship for a 7 day Caribbean cruise. I can't wait-a little fun and relaxation in the sun and warmer weather. I'll write about it when I get back.
